The Recording Academy
One night each year The Recording Academy puts on its biggest show: The GRAMMYs. The rest of the year it’s hard at work helping a wide range of professionals in the music business advance their craft. This includes everyone from producers to musicians to sound engineers. This large community wasn’t digitally connected, so The Recording Academy turned to my team for help.
We developed GRAMMY365.com, a Drupal-based social networking platform we created to connect and engage music business professionals from around the world. The feature-rich site fosters collaboration among members—from established acts to up-and-coming artists—and has already led to a relatively unknown musician winning a GRAMMY nomination for her work.
I led the creative team in development of the identity, UX strategy, and visual design for this much-used site.
Process and project deliverables included:
- Development of a name and logo for the community site
- Moodboards to explore brand tone
- Content strategy, content matrix, wireframes and visual design for a modular Drupal-based website
